China 1 - Almont

When I lived in Berlin Township this was our favorite Chinese place (really one of our favorite restaurants actually . I moved to Port Huron a little over a year ago and after trying the many many Chinese places out here none of them come close to being as good as this place. I literally drive to Almont and go to my Mom's in Emmett to eat it whenever I have a craving for Chinese (especially their egg drop soup! . I always order way too much and we eat it for at least 2 more days As long as i stay nearby I'll be frequenting this place (planning a trip this upcoming Sunday!

We are new to the area and wanted Chinese food. This one is close to home so we thought we'd give it a try. I wish we hadn't. Ordered the 2for$25 almond chicken and sweet and sour chicken, egg rolls and spring rolls. The food was swimming in grease and soggy breading which made it inedible. Sweet and sour sauce tasted like sugar. Fried rice was beyond bland and the lo mein noodles were too salty. The eggrolls were bland. We took one bite and threw those away as well. The only thing that was good was the wonton soup. We will never eat there again. Don't waste your money.

Food is always delicious, and you can't beat the price. Highly recommend.

There's no veggies in the Wonton! No Carrot and/or pineapple in the Sweet and Sour Chicken! Taste is great! But what a disappointment to get no veggies at all. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
