BEST Sandwiches in the Lehigh Valley Hands Down! Great staff and the owner Mike is simply an amazing chef! The meats are fresh and hand seasoned and the serving sizes are huge! The soups and sides are also top notch. This guy clearly uses the best ingredients. Be sure to ask for the specials and if you can visit on Fridays Mike serves up the most amazing cheesesteaks that I have ever had. The restaurant is basic and located in an office building. The sandwiches are not cheap but neither is the quality. In my opinion, they are worth every penny!
I'm always on the lookout for a nice local place to get a prepared lunch during work, and the Old School Sandwich Company is exactly the place I was looking for. The sandwiches are delicious and I was excited to find that the sides were equally tasty. While I haven't been very often yet, it appears that there is a regularly rotating special sandwich menu, all of which have looked mouthwatering. As with the sides, which apparently are made however the chef feels that day. I don't know how often recipes repeat, but it is clear that he cares about giving customers something new and interesting, which makes me want to return every day to try something new of his.
I work in Trexlertown and wanted to eat lunch today. I was in the mood for a Deli sandwich thought I would try this place out after I found it on Google Maps with a 4.7 star average. I am not sure if one owner and the other was a hourly employee, but the two men were nice; although very dedicated in their own conversations. I let them know it was my first time and I ended up with the mother Clucker along with two side crack Mac (Mac and Cheese) and the Cole Slav for a total of about $15.30. Food didn't last long, I was the only one at the time. On the way back to work I ate the Mac and cheese and was honestly not impressed. It seems that they use a powdery cheese of similar strength, although with another pasta dish. After I came to work, I ate half the sandwich and opened the Koleslaw. The Coleslaw was literally burned with ice crystals in my container. The sandwich made me unusable - not sure whether it is a certificate of chicken quality, but it tasted very similar to the chicken I had last year at Sheetz, which gave me food poisoning. I have no idea how this business is highly valued. If you really want a sandwich, go to Goosey Gander in Southside Bethlehem. Would you be worth your time to avoid this place.
I loved eating in this restaurant, but the problem is that they accidentally close the restaurant and no announcement. I drove 25 minutes here in more than one occasion to find a note on the door that indicates that they are accidentally closed for the day. Don't waste your time.
