El Bokao Gourmet - Alicante

We've been here for a while and every time we go, we get fantastic service and really nice food. There is a wide selection of wines and seafood is fresh from their own theke with lobster in their own tanks. A really great environment with table-Pr bar seating and a wide selection of tapas as well as complete dishes such as steak, fish and paella. We tried yesterday the mar Y montaña paella and it was one of the most beautiful we had in a restaurant. One of our favorite places to eat and look around.

Sure, this is the best restaurant in Alicante. The menu selection is amazing, the products are all of the highest quality, from clear fresh fish and lively Maine lobster in a tank to wonderfully aged meat and an impressive glass walk in wine cooler with a wide selection of Spanish regional wines at reasonable prices, all beautifully prepared and elegantly presented. The service is equally important. What makes great customer service? It’s not about “snap” if a customer wants something. It shows up on the table with a certain excitement whether you describe your menu or publish the look of the excited surprise of the customer if you offer them an unexpected freebie. It is about sharing your enthusiasm while inviting your customers to share in your world. For a restaurant to find people with this kind of positive energy and to keep them engaged during a pandemic, is even an enormous achievement. My experience in BoKao characterizes what I love Alicante, it is rich culture, it is flooding and it is welcome from outsiders. Definitely a highlight of my visit to this part of Spain.

We ate there for 2 evenings, because the food was really incredible: Fideua de mariscos, perfect sangria and an exceptional cattle trecot. Our waiter, Luz, was very friendly and helpful. Very recomendable!

The food was absolutely amazing and the staff was ver friendly and helpful! I would recommend it to anyone. It has excellent seafood and steaks! They also have a variety of wines. Also, the place is really nice, located in the centre of the city!

Oustanding. Best food we had in Alicante. The food is fresh and cooked to perfection and portions realy generous . The service was great from the lovely Luz. She made the time to explain the menu and didnt make us feel rushed unlike other establishment we visited on our stay. Would definitely recommend
