As we looked over the menu displayed above the counter, we were excited to place our orders. My wife chose the chicken enchiladas with rice and beans, while I opted for the caldo de res, a beef stew. The owner offered us complimentary chips and salsa, and they were both quite good—warm and flavorful. Soon after, our meals arrived at the table. My wife's chicken enchiladas looked delicious, and my caldo de res also appeared appetizing. The beef stew was fantastic, packed with flavor and plenty of meat and vegetables, making it a hearty meal. While the meat was a bit tender yet chewy, I thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife was equally pleased with her chicken enchiladas, which were bursting with flavor. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Lupita's Mexican Restaurant in Alhambra. The owner was incredibly welcoming, making us feel at home and serving us a meal that felt comforting and heartfelt.
I was quite disappointed with the Al Pastor burrito. It was primarily filled with rice and beans, and there was hardly any Al Pastor in it. You could easily call it a 100% rice burrito, which is nothing like the burritos you’d find at a traditional Mexican restaurant. I wouldn't recommend this place.
I really enjoy the atmosphere of this restaurant, and the service is excellent. The woman in charge was particularly impressive. However, I must say that the chili relleno burrito was quite bland—not something I'd rave about. I've heard that their breakfast is better, so I think I'll give that a try next time.
The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was wonderful. I loved it and can't wait to return!
The food was overall enjoyable, but the cheese in the quesadilla was disappointing. I recommend reviewing the menu and prices carefully, then comparing them with your bill, as I suspect they might be inflating their prices.
