Monterey's Gourmet Pizza - Alexandria

My first time having lunch at this location and the service from the staff was superb, friendly environment and a great selection of pizza and calzone. The pricing is within any budget, I recommend this place, and guess what!! ? they do deliver? tell them that you saw this review from Rafael and they will give you a special item.

Don?t order from here! They used to be good but now they use their own couriers even if you use an app like DoorDash, so you get no updates, no customer support and your cold pizza will arrive randomly 2 hours later even though you live 5 min away. Pick up in person if you?re desperate, and want to avoid this hassle or just go to another place that?s more normal!

We recently had the best pizza at Monterey's. We ordered the extra-large Monterey Fab Five and it was absolutely delicious. We live in DelRay and have tried all the nearby pizza places, but Monterey's is definitely the best.

The customer service at this restaurant is terrible. The girl who answers the phones and works the register is rude, condescending, and clueless. The manager, a big guy, doesn't make eye contact or acknowledge customers and also has a rude demeanor. The atmosphere is unwelcoming, with sticky tables. The pizza is not worth it, as I have had better at small, hole-in-the-wall places with better service. I will never return to this restaurant. It is a shame and they should get rid of the unhelpful girl at the front who is ruining their reputation.
