Located just off the main road in Nachinola, this "Restaurant" is actually part of a private house where the ground floor has been converted to allow seating for about 20 people. Well off the tourist trail and just as well. Nothing fancy. Just 4 or 5 tables in what was the hall of the house. Tony, the owner, is a great host and so is the food. A "Must Try" is the Pork Solantulem, the "Ard Maas" and the Roast Tongue - all served with fresh hot "pois" or local bread. We found the Pork Sorpotel to be a bit undercooked (the pork pieces were hard) and the Tongue was a bit salty but overall we had a great meal.Really happy to have found a place which cooks authentic Goan food. Will definitely be visiting this place again and again. All the best Tony!!
This is not mainstream.. this is nice Goan food. Period.More for meat lovers and that which is cooked a nice homely Goan way. Love the solanche (basically pork meat curry.. with sour plum skin as garnishing) Ox tongue.. fewer 5 stars make it as right if they make it at allA reasonable variety of drinks to go by the evening.A homely place giving you more than you'll expect. Small little house opened to a restaurant.
Rushing back next day. Loved the food. I will def Recommend to others. Lovely quiet area too. I don't know all the names of dishes but the pork stew was amazing.
Location is away from the tourist trail and all the better for it. Cooked with care. Cooked by a food lover for food lovers. It's like eating in a family home. Not for vegetarians. Great pork, beef, crab, fish curry, and a wonderful welcoming host in Tony.
