If you’re looking for a chilled out wedding with bush and country vibes, but throw in a world class menu, then look no further! We loved the flexibility of the Truffle Farm we got to supply our alcohol (using the lovely folks at Little Gracey to serve is in their Caravan), set a budget for how much we’d like to spend per head on food and then Kanny, the chef whipped up a menu that was divine. We’d recommend the cocktail style as opposed to a sit down menu, the barn worked really well this way, allowing people to sit, stand, or be trying their hand at some lawn games while roaming food was brought around. Don’t worry, guests wills not go away hungry. We’d also recommend staying in the Tiny House on the hill. You’ll wake up to gorgeous views of the Majura Valley, and maybe a kangaroo or two! The whole wedding experience at the Truffle Farm was painless so a big thanks to Jayson and the team, the Truffle Farm will be my go to recommendation for friends getting married in future!
The most amazing day! Highly recommend the hunt and lunch package. So education and such a fun experience, plus the food is amazing! So glad we tried it!
Excellent host who was very engaging. delicious food
A truly wonderful experience. Jayson and his partner Emily greet you at the door and guide you to your table where a glass of champagne is waiting. Then Jayson gives a talk about truffles and his journey from Customs to owning the farm. Then you head out into the truffle trees for a hunt with the clever and very excited Rocco, the 2 year old Labrador truffle hunting dog. We got to dig up the truffles that Rocco found and Jayson showed us the different types of truffle depending on the type of tree. After the hunt we returned to the restaurant and then the degaustation started....the photos don't do the food justice incredible! We will be back!
I bought the tickets to visit the farm 3 years ago yeah, the bad times. The night before leaving for Canberra government changed restrictions and my husband and I had to cancel the trip. The farm owner wasn't very nice on the phone but he ended up giving us credit to visit the farm within 3 years. Unfortunately we went to Canberra in summer as our business couldn't wait until winter so we never got to use our credit. I wrote an email a year ago asking if there is a chance they can send us truffles for the price of our tickets, I was more than happy to pay the delivery cost etc, but never heard from them ever again. I understand that they are a small business, everyone suffered during lockdowns, but I don't print money either and $400 is significant amount for me. I can't rate their customer service, very bad attitude.
