Amiraute - Ajaccio

When you walk into a near empty restaurant alarm bells should be going off especially when attached to a hotel apartment complex. When perusing the menu more alarm bells should go off when the young French couple sat nearby have a discussions about their food and decide to up and leave it, mid meal our mistake for staying and ordering. When we ordered we were somewhat disappointed to be served a cold, greasy lump of battered frozen fish, a 400g steak (200g bone, 100g meat, 100g fat) and, the best bit, for our kids 3 (yes, three) frozen breaded chicken fingers. We questioned the fish, and the chicken fingers with the waitress, who to be fair then did one the best Gallic shrugs seen outside of Paris, oh my. We persevered as best we could but quite frankly the meal was appalling so we up and left, as had the young French couple only 10 minutes before us what a place! Funnily enough we did not return stayed at the Hotel for 4 days and never went back to this restaurant again, even though it was on the doorstep. Have visited France for 20+ years, been to many many places, this was by far the worst meal ever placed in front of us.

If you do not want to be disappointed, don't go there! The free lettuce is braun. The free bread is old. Even with a discountcard from the hotel BW Amirate, it is NOT worth the money. The staff is unorganized and uninterested. Orders are forgotten, the invoice is not correct. The flavors of the starters are gone. Don't even think about vegetarian food. The pictures on the menu are to good to be true! Yes, the interior is nice. There are enough free parkingspaces. It could be so much more! If you still want to go, order a burger fries included) and a drink...

I have been with my family and we taste a very good meat, front sea, a wonderfull pleace. Good service.

We arrived in Ajaccio from 8 day Monti e Mare hike. We ate mussels à la Corse at lunch time and we had a seafood risotto in the Evening. Quite a crowded place this Amirauté but the quality and the service is very good. Very friendly staff combined with very good fresh seafood. A splendid combination
