Grill Courtepaille - Aix-en-Provence

There are quite a view restaurants around at this place. We chose the Courtepaille attracted by the menu description which offered fresh fish (red snapper). As observed by other visitors, the meals are average and the prices are acceptable. The service was ok, too; however we did not like that the waiter started cleaning the neighbour tables and turning up the chairs while we still were eating.

The waiter had difficulty understanding us, but seemed to take our order correctly. Unfortunately, the food was not as ordered. My husband wanted rib steak cooked medium, but what he received was a rump steak burned on the outside and almost totally raw otherwise. His baked potato was also burnt. My pork ribs were fine. The waiter pretty much ignored us and sent another waitress to take our payment. He must have known, but offered no apologies. Disappointing.

For me go in this restaurant is mandatory when i stay in aix. Moreover when i'm alone, as i don't like to walk alone, i prefer reach this restaurant becaise parking is very close to it and beef is very good. The environment is characetistic and food is cooked in front of you.

After a long drive, we were in the mood for a grill restaurant during our visit to Aix en Provence. Luckily, our hotel was next door (Arc Hotel) and we just walked to this restaurant. The restaurant had a multi-language menu, including English. I ordered the seasoned, grilled pork chops and were some of the best chops I've had in a while. Overall, our experience was very good and we had a nice dinner at a reasonable price.

Chain restaurant with good food. Prices are slightly higher than other chain restaurants (Buiffalo Grill, Le Boucherie). Staff is very kind. Parking place. We took a set dinner for about 20 euro and it was good.
