Sukiya Japanese Steak House - Aiken

This place is like two places in one. on one side you sit on a table and your eating is brought to you. on the other side, you eat before them cook prepared, which also put on a show. I'm sitting on a table. eating is really good. I love the mistsuppe. everything I tried was really good. my only complaining (and I must point out that it is a personal preference) is the noise of the other side. the showmanship of Japanese chefs includes a lot of spatula sound. I know it's part of the show that the girls expect. it's not annoying and it's never gonna stop me from eating there. I regularly go there and will continue to do this. Eating is good, service is excellent, prices are affordable. try it.

The Positive. They were friendly.The Negatives:1st time visit. Showed up at 11a when they opened. Took over 40 mins to get a Lunch Bento. Maybe this is standard, but way too long for me when you're not busy and I'm the first order in for the day.Quality of food was not good (think frozen tv dinner quality). I was super disappointed with ever part of the Bento. Didn't taste good. Seemed very low quality right out of a Can kinda meal.For $25 dollars you're 100% better off running to Publix next door and get the PF Chang's frozen meal version of what you want (which I wouldn't do either,.. but better quality and value than what I got today from this restaurant).Won't return.

Very sad to see what was a wonderful dinning establishment go down. They serve under cooked food and even when brought to the managers attention they dismissed it. The cook was upset we had something to say then in return he threw hot food from the grill onto my 6 year old. Took over 30 mins just to get someone to our grill where we sat and they were not busy at all!.. asked for water refills more then 4xs and never got a refill. I would of given them a 5 star not even a few months back now I wish there was a less the 1.. Only 1/2 the staff are masked and this used to be a wonderful place to be. Not sure of the changes being made but deff not worth eating or dinning here.

Food was good, cook was great, server didn't come back to refill our drinks or check on us until we were almost done with our food. Two shots of Jameson costs $16 which is insane.
