Location is decent but parking here requires you to walk extremely far to the front door…Front desk told me breakfast was included, and it definitely wasn’t. It’s $20 per person—no microwaves in room? Wait, so you’re willing to pay over $200 a night for a room without breakfast, a microwave, or a water fountain in the hotel to refill water? So then you should come here expecting to be one of sad individuals who pays $2.50 for single-use plastic bottles of water, eats cold food from the mini fridge and skips breakfast. But the pool has plenty of kids who are having a cannonball/splash competition. There was brown sticky liquid across the floors in the hallway leading to our room and the WiFi absolutely sucks—couldn’t stream a YouTube video without buffering. Pretty awful, and I would recommend the Hampton over this place any day.Update: yesterday the fire alarm in the building went off three times, shower heads spray straight out the side of the shower and you have to walk through the overpriced restauarant every time you want to leave your room in a particular side of the building. Poorly planned layout, with people blocking hallways in front of the salons ….honestly one of the most absurd and annoying hotel stays I can remember
Great staff, great views, close to Mailbu and surrounding beaches, canyon drives. Plenty of dining, store and gas options nearby. Can be busy during the summer. Convenient to the Valley as well as 101/405 corridor. No problems during a 10 day stay. Recommend!
I stayed here for a wedding for two nights a few months back. I was hesitant to post a review because I rather hash it out with the hotel but they eventually went the route of ignoring me. The hotel was overall fine, I’d put it as a two star hotel, dirty carpet, corners of room were dusty, vents dusty, whatever it happens. However, the comforter was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen in an hotel before. When making the bed one of the mornings, we noticed the comforter was ridden with mold, dirty, I don’t even know, I’ve never seen anything like this. We didn’t want to make a huge fuss at the front desk hoping that the bride and groom would not find out about our experience but we took some photos are shared it with the hotel desk staff. They were disgusted and shocked, they told us they would send up the cleaning service to disinfect the room and change the bedding. There must have been a miscommunication because the only change to the room was that the comforter on the floor was picked up and put right back onto the bed and the bed was made. We honestly just removed the comforter for the duration of our stay because she didn’t want to argue and we’re so disgusted, slept with our hoodies and sweatpants on. During checkout we were about to meet Rick, “the manager”, immediately he was defensive, rude, confrontational as if we had told him his own kitchen in his house was dirty. My ask of rec was to get a refund for the two nights, as it’s absolutely unreasonable to stay in those conditions, especially after bringing it up twice, and if he wasn’t able to give me a refund, I was looking for points to be added to my account. Nothing more than that just my money back pretty reasonable. Please see Ricks response to my email: “Sorry for the delay. We did some testing with the chemical supplier. This was not mold as first stated not was it dirt. Feather can scorch when old and inside a sealed comforter like we have. When you first came down you were mentioning congestion or sinus issues because you believed it to be mold. This is not the case and these linen items, while old, are not dirty. I hope this clarifies things for you.” Scorched feathers lol?? I followed up via call, voicemails and emails after the fact. Zero response. Such poor management and disgusting experience.
FALSE FIRE ALARMS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT! stay away from this place. False fire alarms continuously went off since midnight waking up and scaring my 1-year old every 5-10 minutes! I understand this could’ve been a one off situation but the way the staff treated me and so many others was rude and uncalled for. They hung up on me and talked to me like I was the cause of the issue. Front desk had no answers. In fact they reassured hundreds of guests who marched down to the lobby because the phones weren’t working, that it would stop but it didn’t. Staff said the only thing they could do was check me out of the hotel basically putting me out with my baby at 12 midnight ? No compensation. Nothing.Update: around 2 am the alarms were still going off. Alexander at the front desk said if I checked out then, I’d get a full refund so I did. Called for about a week and they kept saying I should receive an email about the refund. Now over a week later they said they changed their mind and decided they won’t be giving any refunds from that night! Just horrible!!!!
