Maybe I was just not in the mood for the tepan!
I returned to the shiki restaurant on the mai, as promised after having given a bad review in november, I must say that the service food and all the round night was made very pleasant by the cook and all the staff, from the time we arrived until we left. we were very good at the chief staff and keeping from the chef on the table was back to his best. thanks to many that they make our high-time anniversary so unforgettable. thank you, lok wu for taking care of it. johannes grimes
I have booked for my wife and me on november, in recent years I am here several times, mainly for special occasions. we arrived a little early and were put on a table with other adult and a little child we had seen before. the cook seemed uninterested with us and the party, but happy to conversate with the two others. he knew this couple. eating was good, but that steak, although asked rarely was hard and not what I experienced before her. the chef made the meals to cook and went away, not even say, thank you or good bye. the next morning I received a text that asked why I did not appear for our meals. The personal needs training for skill. Compared to the Teppanyaki restaurant in sydney, the Shiki cook has no interaction with the customer. the food content is small. people spent more than dollar came still hungry.
Great ingredients but average casual dining grade. Observing this place is actually run by Japanese and other Asian looking imposed Japanese accent when serving. First the sitting arrangement is all for maximising profit rather fine customer experience, quite cram. The teppanyaki chef has poor culinary skills, and waiters are in need of further training. The overall experience is not fine dining.
