Boffins Restaurant and Bar - Acton

Located inside ANU's Univeristy House Boffins has been a reliable go-to for a lovely dining experience. The two-course plus wine available to members offers a range to suit all, vegetarian, seafood and meat options. The salmon entree and barramundi main were perfectly cooked, full of flavour and generous servings. Could've done with a bread roll to mop up the sauce. House wine was perfectly acceptable and paired well with the meal.

Nice booth in the corner on a quiet night. Greatly enjoyed Barramundi and Scallops. Fresh, tasty salad. Wine by the glass.

The last year has been a disaster for this restaurant. The menu now parodies Courgette's exquisite multiple courses with choices, but the food is tasteless. The service is haphazard. Friendly? Maybe, if you get a student who is working his/her way through ANU. The wine list has shrunk from adequate to desperate. The University Club which points to this place as a home for its members ought to get someone in to re-evaluate its direction.

Really enjoyed my meal here! Soup for starter and then kangaroo. Was absolutely delicious and service was very good.

An impromptu dinner was surprisingly very good - the lamb cutlets were superb. Would be good to see rose by the glass.
