The chicken was dry and had tough pieces in it. The rice was acceptable. I suspect they use soy oil, which imparts a strange taste. I may have to look for another restaurant next time.
I ordered food from this restaurant and found the chips to be very dry and tasteless. When I called to request a refund, I was told that they couldn't refund me because the food had been touched. How was I supposed to know that the chips were like cardboard without tasting them? They refused to give me a refund and are now not answering the phone. I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs.
Terrible service and they only take cash . Owner obviously doesn’t like paying tax . Definitely won’t return here again
In March 2020, my daughter had to be admitted to the sick childrens hospital, not for the first time. Last time we used a takeaway called Oceans , and had some nice meals.Trotted up the hill and sadly it was closed. Noticed the Treasure of China and went in there.I asked the Chinese girl behind the counter if they used fresh chicken, and she assured me the did(i hate precooked chicken strips). So i ordered mushroom and onion chow mein for my wife, which they assured me they could do . and chicken fried rice with sweet n ' sour sauce for myself. Paid and back to hospital. Opened up thse little gems and its vomit time. My wife took off the lid from here so called chow mein, which had some sort f brown ooze seeping from under the lid, lid off and we saw what appeared to be the toilet scene from trainspotting, disgusting, inedible, a total mess. Chicken fried rice with precooked steamed chicken strips, stodgy rice and cooked with enough soy sauce to get you to China and back. Absolute **** with a lie thrown in. Suddenly the room lit up as I took the lid off of the sweet n ' sour sauce. It looked like jelly and was almost glowing in the tub. I could imagine Doctor Who saving the world from this stuff. I called and told the that this is the worst Chinese food I 've ever experienced, and a quiet womans voice said okay . What a waste of time and money. Maybe they should ask the chef from the place next door as he knows what he 's doing. Don 't go to this takeaway ,it 's the worst ever. This Treasure of China should be buried and never found or dug up again.
I paid over £16 for a meal that included sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, BBQ ribs, and prawn toast, but it was not worth the money. The prawn toast did not even have prawn on it, so I essentially paid £3.60 for fried bread with sesame seeds. The sweet and sour sauce was thick and unappetizing, with very little chicken in the portion. The ribs were just okay and the fried rice was overly heavy and dark. When I called to complain about the prawn toast, it took a while to clarify that I was not trying to place another order. The person on the phone seemed to be pretending not to understand me, even though they had no trouble taking my initial order. Someone wrote a review saying they had been going to this Chinese restaurant for 20 years, but I doubt their taste buds. I am so disappointed that I plan to return the toast and ask for a refund.
