Sakura Japanese Steakhouse - a Forest

Update as of July 20, 2024. Unfortunately, I have to edit my previous review. I am doing this in hopes the owner sees this and takes action. We visited last week for lunch and it was AWFULLY hot inside the restaurant. Our poor waitress was dying from working in the heat. Her shirt was visibly wet from sweat. We were also sweating just while sitting at lunch. While eating lunch, we overheard multiple guests mention the high temperature as well. Unfortunately, I don’t expect to be back until this gets fixed. Sadly, I was told be another table that this issue occurs every year and only gets attention once enough guests reach out.. I hate to hear this, but really hoping the issue gets corrected so we can come back! I’ll be happy to change my review back once this gets fixed. Great sized portions, especially for the price. They are usually busy, but they get food out to the tables pretty quickly! I have never had a bad experience here. I would recommend!

Excellent restaurant with great foods at a reasonable price.

It's a NO for me.. I didn't eat here.. walked in... Nobody said anything no greeting just a bunch of yt ppl starring in my face.. Floors were sticky and there was not 1 japanese person in sight... so im confused on the name... but I didn't get a chance to get to the food.. there was no clear indication on seating myself either. So I stood in line and I eventually gave up..and left

Absolutely horrible service. Lady at the register just sitting on her phone as people walk in, nobody greets anyone and after another set of customers sat down, wasn’t greeted, and then they walked out and left after 4 minutes. The associate then loudly complains about them and says the customer should have known what she was doing…and then said loud enough for all the customers to hear, “well old people tend not to have any patience anyway.” I continued to be more and more shocked at the level of service and complete disregard for customers.The food and price has always been great here so I hope they can turn around their service before they continue to lose sales.

Prices for sushi is getting outrageous and 30 dollars for 2 udon soups is really crazy.
