Her kindness and the way she communicated made me want to wait and have a meal here. The seafood bowl was fresh and delicious! We also enjoyed the last serving of Matsuba crab as sashimi, shabu-shabu, and grilled, and finished with crab rice porridge. The food was delicious, but it was the service of the owner and staff that truly filled both my stomach and heart. If you are someone who values quality, I highly recommend trying this place at least once... What do you think?
I ordered the set lunch, grilled clams, and sand borer at the restaurant. The sand borer today cost 5500 yen, and I had it prepared as sashimi, sushi, and simmered. I was shown the fish before it was cooked, and it was larger than I had imagined, making it a challenge for two people to finish. The taste was simply amazing. The flesh was light and had a good texture, with plenty of umami. The liver was firm and had no fishy smell at all. You would never find this quality and quantity at this price in Ginza or Shijo. The photo is of the sand borer sashimi, and I give five stars to the sand borer and the proprietress who recommended the delicious sake.
I visited this restaurant three years ago in late autumn when I stayed in Amanohashidate for two nights. I ordered red sea bream sashimi, local sake, dried squid, dried sea bream, grilled rice balls, and crab rice. The red sea bream was small but delicious. However, the price was 3500 yen? A bit expensive considering the portion size, but it's okay since I'm here as a tourist. After finishing the meal, they offered miso soup. The kind waitress at the table taught me how to grill the dried fish and I could also leave it to her completely. The crab in the crab rice was a luxurious version with about 1/3 to 1/2 of the body inside. I spent 10 minutes silently excavating the meat, put it back in the pot, mixed it evenly, and then ate it... It was delicious! It's pricey, but worth ordering! I left the restaurant completely satisfied and stuffed.
