ラーメン Shān Gāng Jiā Xīn ひだか Diàn

It had been about 2 years since I last visited Yamakoya. This time, I tried the spicy miso ramen and it was delicious with just the right amount of spiciness. I couldn't help but think, "Was it always this good?" In the past, I remember being overwhelmed by the smell of pork broth as soon as I entered, but this time there was no strong smell. I ordered my noodles firm, but they were only average in firmness and quite short in length. Still, they were tasty so I'll consider it a win.

Visited in January 2021. It was my first time at the Shizunai branch. I usually go for the spicy miso ramen, but this time I ordered the limited edition "motsu miso ramen". The motsu had no unpleasant smell, the seasoning was to my liking, and I was satisfied with the portion size. The cabbage had a crispy texture and sweetness, and paired well with the soup. There were two female staff members, and both their service and COVID-19 measures were flawless.

I recently realized that adjusting the firmness of the noodles each time I go has made me prefer the extra-firm texture recently. I go about twice a month now, haha.
