After traveling around Japan for a week and deciding to camp out in my car at Michinoeki Kurama, I stumbled upon a shop called Maruchon Ramen. This was my first time trying ramen from the Kanto region and it did not disappoint. The pork bone ramen with a light broth was delicious. The ramen was made by an elderly gentleman, but there were many family members or staff present, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. It was a great dining experience.

Maruchon Ramen in Kushima City: Ramen for 600 yen, fried rice for 600 yen. This restaurant has been around near Kushima Station on the JR Nichinan Line for a long time. It is located on the opposite side of the new Michi-no-Eki Kushima, across the national highway. The soup of the ramen is light and the fried rice is oily and fluffy. Instead of chashu, ham is used in the fried rice. The restaurant is still popular with many customers. The owner is an elderly person, but they were making a lot of ramen on this day.
